History
All Saints’ Church has an 1877 Bevington organ. This is a delightful organ domiciled in the historic
1865 building. All Saints’ is on the edge of the University campus, and the organ is used not only for church services but for presenting organ concerts, and as a teaching instrument. The organ has 2 manuals and pedals, and has a good palette of tonal resources in the stops. This is an important 19 th century instrument and retains its original mechanical action. The instrument was restored in 1969 at the same time as the church building went through extensive restoration. |
